CV Performance Group enters GT racing with 2 Mercedes-AMG GT4s
The CV Performance Group is expanding its range in 2021 and entering sports car racing with two Mercedes AMG GT4s. In doing so, the team is consistently continuing its work with young drivers and accompanying their drivers to the next step in their careers.
"We founded the Mercedes AMG Customer Racing Junior Kart Team by CV Performance Group in 2020, supporting talented drivers at an early stage with extensive funding. With the establishment of the GT4 team, we now offer everything from a single source and can accompany our drivers from karting into GT racing," explains Team Principal Christian Voß.
As in karting, the CV Performance Group also enjoys the support of strong partners in GT racing.
"It is a great advantage for us to have such strong partners at our side. We are launching a junior programme as the Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing Team and can draw on a wide range of support services from the Mercedes-AMG customer sports programme. We are currently designing the entire team and will bring a competitive squad to the start,"
continues Voß.
The championship in which the team from Niederzissen will compete has not yet been decided. "We are currently working on our programme in the background. There are two platforms in Germany in which you can start with a GT4. We are still in the planning stages and will announce our race programme in a few weeks. However, the Finn Matias Salonen has already been confirmed as the first driver; he comes from our junior programme and will now be developed further," concludes the former racing driver.
SYNGENTO developed the basic design of the new Mercedes-AMG GT4 together with Christian Voss and provides the team with all-round cross-media support in all marketing matters ...
